I work as a developmental and substantive editor for individual authors as well as for institutions. Recent clients include Harvard University’s Nieman Foundation, the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, the Solidago Foundation, and other nonprofit organizations.
Recent books I've edited include the memoir of a civil rights lawyer, published by Chicago Review Press in Fall 2009, and a historical narrative about U.S. and Soviet stewardesses, forthcoming from the University of Pennsylvania Press in Fall 2010. I have served on the editorial board of Dollars & Sense magazine and as staff editor for Grassroots International.
I co-edited Telling True Stories: A Nonfiction Writers’ Guide (Plume/Penguin, 2007) with Mark Kramer.
